The uTOIP Revamp Project focused on addressing user feedback regarding the application’s design and usability. User research across various directorates revealed critical issues, including a lack of user-friendliness for new users, non-responsive pages, and an outdated visual design. These insights laid the foundation for a redesign aimed at creating a more intuitive and visually appealing application while maintaining alignment with Telkomsel’s brand identity.
A comprehensive design system was developed to guide the revamp, featuring a minimalist theme with updated color palettes, typography, and components. Development of the design system also focused on ensuring maintainability, providing a scalable foundation capable of seamlessly accommodating new features and additional pages in the future. The redesigned prototype spanned over 50 interactive and responsive pages, incorporating improved functionality and new features, such as a customizable landing page. The enhancements ensured a cohesive and modern look, making the app easier to navigate and more accessible across various devices.
To validate the newdesign, usability testing was conducted on Maze, where users completed tasks using the updated prototype. The results highlighted significant improvements in ease of use and satisfaction, with over 90% of participants expressing approval of the new design. Heatmaps and task completion metrics further demonstrated the app’s improved efficiency and functionality, solidifying its role as a critical tool in Telkomsel’s operations.
